A professional restoration requires precision and patience. We perform every step with master-class quality:
- Coarse sanding: Removal of old lacquer or wax layers as well as deep scratches.
- Medium sanding: Leveling the surface and preparing it for the final treatment.
- Filling joint gaps: We seal cracks and joints with a special joint filler solution for a harmonious overall look.
- Fine sanding: The final sanding ensures the perfect touch and feel of the wood.
- Surface refinement: Protection with high-quality lacquers or natural oils.
Surface Protection: Lacquering or Oiling?
After sanding, the wood is “open” and requires protection. We only use low-emission professional products:
Sealing with water-based lacquers (e.g. Bona Traffic HD)
Ideal for busy households. These lacquers are extremely resistant to scratches, water and chemicals.
- Advantage: Very easy to maintain, durable and available in various gloss levels (matte to glossy).
Refining with natural oils (e.g. Bona Craft Oil / Osmo)
For lovers of natural wood texture. The oil penetrates deep into the wood and protects it from the inside out.
- Advantage: The wood remains breathable, the grain is emphasized (“fired up”) and minor repairs can be done partially.
Value preservation instead of new installation: Focus on sustainability
Parquet is a precious natural product that can last for generations. A professional sanding only removes about 0.5 to 1.0 mm of the wear layer. Since high-quality solid parquet usually has a wear layer of several millimeters, your floor can theoretically be restored 4 to 6 times in its lifespan.
